#2: Former Silverback YouTubed himself onto Scotland team!

 UPDATE: This was just an awesome story and though Martyn’s time with Queen of the South was short he’s path was memorable.

Originally posted 1/16/09 : It’s Friday and after yesterday’s depressing news of the Atlanta MLS bid fail I thought we could all use a feel good story.

A few months ago Martyn Lancaster was an Atlanta Silverbacks player.  After the team folded he got a little homesick for British football.  His wife posted his highlight reel on YouTube and a week later he was signed to a six month contract in Scotland by Queen of the South.

You’ve got to read his story to believe it.
