Today at Shout restaurant in downtown Atlanta T. Fitz Johnson, owner of the Atlanta Beat, introduced WellStar Health as the Beats jersey sponsor for the 2010 season. In addition to jersey sponsor WellStar will be the official health provider for the Beat but let’s hope they don’t have to rely on WellStars services too much.
“The WellStar brand emphasizes ‘We believe in life well-lived’ and that resonates strongly with professional athletes. These athletes serve as role models for active living, and WellStar’s commitment to healthy living is further strengthened by partnering with the Atlanta Beat.” said WellStar President and CEO Dr. Gregory Simone.
With both of my children being born at WellStar’s Kennestone hospital and spending a lot of quality time with their fine physicians in the years since I feel I’ve in some way been a part of the funding of this sponsorship. As an indirect sponsor of the Atlanta Beat I give my full endoresement to WellStar in the reproportiating of said funds towards the Beat. I’m sure I’ll continue to contribute to those funds for years to come and hopefully WellStar will continue to be a sponsor for even longer.
In addition to the WellStar sponsorship the jerseys were also sporting the “Citi” national sponsorship below the numbers on the back. The Beat continues to make progress off the field and it sounds like things are starting to progress on the field as well.
